Green Apple Riesling
Fresh and fruity, Green Apple Riesling is a sweet, easy drinking wine boasting honeyed flavours of pear and apricot with floral notes of a distinctive green apple character. Rich and luscious, the relative acidity of this Riesling complements spicy foods such as Thai and Middle Eastern cuisine, while the fruity and floral hints work well with seafood, ham, and simple chicken or fish dishes. This wine complements a wide range of cheeses, from soft, fresh varieties of cream cheese, through the semi-soft ripeness of Havarti, all the way to blue-veins such as Stilton. Green Apple Riesling is also one of the very few whites that pairs well with chocolate. This wine is best served at casual gatherings or as a sipping wine.
Buttered, oaky overtones meet the fresh fruit flavours of peach, apple, pear and citrus in this fresh and well-balanced take on the popular Chardonnay. One of the most versatile wines, Peach Chardonnay goes well with white meat, such as poultry or pork, and seafood, especially if a cream sauce is involved. Full-flavoured dishes which have been grilled, roasted or sautéed are also popular choices. Peach Chardonnay is best enjoyed in cooler weather with upscale meals. Cheeses like Provolone, Gruyere, Brie, and aged Cheddar can help to highlight the flavour of this elegant wine.
Soft and silky with rich flavours of blackberry, cherry, plum, vanilla, oak, violets, dark fruits and the occasional hint of cedar or cigar, Blackberry Merlot is an easy, friendly wine. This wine lends itself fabulously to romantic dinners, informal gatherings, and cocktail parties. Extremely versatile, Blackberry Merlot is best enjoyed with roasted red meats, salmon, duck, mushroom dishes, and pasta with red wine and tomato sauce. Mild cow and goat cheese also complement this wine’s smoothness nicely.
Raspberry Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir grapes may be notorious for their finicky and challenging nature while growing, but this light bodied and smooth, velvety wine is anything but difficult to enjoy. It contains hints of cherries, raspberries, strawberries and plums, with just the right amount of spice, making it perfect for romantic dinners and intimate gatherings. It makes an excellent accompaniment to grilled, roasted, or sautéed foods, especially game birds, poultry, mild red meats, and well-flavoured fish like tuna and salmon. Cheddar and Stilton also pair nicely with Raspberry Pinot Noir.
Wildberries take centre stage in the bodied and bold Wildberry Shiraz. Spicy with flavours of mixed berries, black pepper, anise, oaky vanilla tannins and of course wildberry, this wine has the intense colour and jam-like flavour characteristics of Shiraz making it perfect for formal entertaining. Wildberry Shiraz is a big wine, so it needs big flavours to match. Serve it with dishes like steak, veal, stew, or pork chops and firm, well-ripened cheeses like Edam, Gouda or aged Cheddar Cheese to bring out the depth of its flavour.
Strawberry White Zinfandel
Light and refreshing, with a stunning pastel rose colour, Strawberry White Zinfandel has a crisp but delicate bouquet of strawberries and raspberries with soft floral notes and a hint of spice. This wine has the sort of light body and clean, well-balanced flavour that makes it an easy drinking favourite. Pair Strawberry White Zinfandel with fresh fruit, olives, seafood, shellfish, poached fish or chicken and salads to bring out the best in its flavour. Slightly sweet cheese or foods that are moderately spicy also complement Strawberry White Zinfandel.
Wildberry White Zinfandel
Wildberry Zinfandel has a rich character all on its own. This full-bodied, dry wine with little to no oak features a soft ruby, almost jewel-toned, hue with the flavours of fresh raspberries and ripe blackberries. Its richness is offset by a savoury spiciness and hints of chocolate and violets. Wildberry Zinfandel is a great summer wine and pairs well with barbecued sausages, salads and saltier cheeses, and peppery sauces.
