7kg – 4 Week White Wine Kits – Grape Juice & Concentrate
One of the most aromatic grape varieties in the world. Here, it is grown in California, where the muscat-like, floral and spice bouquet follow through in the mouth, where the taste of rose petals is often evident.
For those who like the soft, fruity, Germanic style of winemaking, but want a change from Riesling’s stronger aromatic profile, Liebfraumilch, originally made in Germany from a blend of Silvaner and Muller-Thurgau grapes, is approximated here by our cellar master’s skillful blend of California varietals. Soft and easy to drink.
One of the world’s fullest bodied white wines: responds well to oak fermentation. Originally from Burgundy, the Chardonnay grape has colonized the world with great success, and is especially notable in California, where hints of tropical fruits (bananas, peaches, pears, and pineapples) can be found both on the bouquet, and in the rich, fat mouth feel.
Pinot Grigio is a favorite among Northern Italians, and with good reason: its delicate bouquet and light, almost spritzy lime mouth feel offend no one, yet please many. Why wait – drink this subtle California blend as soon as you like!
A scented grape variety that makes a soft fruity, yet bone-dry wine in California that is great as an introductory aperitif, with or without food. If you like Riesling with a kiss of sugar, let it ferment dry and sweeten to taste.
Known both in Bordeaux and in the Loire in France, the Sauvignon Blanc has a pleasingly sharp herbal-bouquet and medium body. The wine from this grape has become well-known for its versatility in pairing with food, marrying particularly well with seafood.
It took the Californians to coin the name blush, and the color is reminiscent of a light pink flush on someone’s face. The Zinfandel grape is left for just a short time on the skins, just long enough to impart its unique color, forward spicy aroma and pure fruit wine, which makes this a very difficult one to stop pouring once you’ve started. Chill well before serving.
